FY12 Development and Maintenance Priorities

Per MARADMIN 068/12 (84 KB) "FY12 Training and Education Command (TECOM) Electronic Distance Learning Targeting Board", TECOM will not conduct an FY12 Electronic Distance Learning Targeting Board. In FY12, CDET will complete ongoing electronic courseware development efforts and prioritized course maintenance in support of TECOM distance learning priorities. The "CDET FY12 Development and Maintenance Priorities" table lists in-progress projects and FY12 maintenance candidates. Maintenance candidates have been prioritized based upon course performance data. The courses targeted for FY12 review have the highest rates of technical issues and helpdesk tickets with the poorest completion rates and time-to-train efficiency.

Sponsors with courses on this list will be contacted during FY12 by CDET to further analyze the status of their MarineNet products. Resultant actions are dependent on this analysis and can range from no action, various levels of course update, to course discontinuation.

MarineNet course sponsors whose courses do not appear on the list should report course content and performance concerns to CDET and update course points of contact.

CDET will continue to evaluate externally developed electronic courseware products for MarineNet distribution, regardless of source. Marine Corps funded electronic course development must comply with the MarineNet Courseware Development Technical Standards, Version 1.3 (227 KB).
